Field Trip to Sweetwater Wetlands (Gainesville)

oin us for some great birding at this 125+ acre park, which was created to improve the water quality of wetlands in Paynes Prairie.
NOTE: Please note that the address is 325 SW Williston Rd in GAINESVILLE in the 32608 zip code. Some GPS will send you to Archer, FL in the 32618 zip code which is out in the cow pastures. Do not go to Archer, FL. If your GPS requires a zip code then put in 32608. If it does not accept 32608 then try 32601. The park is very close to the boundary line for those two zip codes.
We will meet in the parking lot at 9:00 am for a walk along the boardwalks where there will be numerous opportunities for photo taking.
Parking is $5, so we encourage you to car pool! If you need a ride, be sure to call 904-504-1240.
Be sure to read about the history of the park and the numerous bird species we will most likely find!
