Learn about the Avian Biodiversity Center (Tallahassee)

May 9, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We’d like to invite you to an evening with Mammal Specialist, Saarah Yob, who works with the Avian Biodiversity Center. Ms. Yob will be bringing Willow with her, a North American striped skunk and one of the Center’s favorite animal ambassadors.

The Avian Biodiversity Center is a non-profit conservation education organization located in Tallahassee. Their mission is to conserve wildlife through public education as well as through breeding projects. They work closely with both FSU and TCC, giving life science students the special opportunity of working with wildlife during their college careers. They also collaborate with many other zoological facilities in an effort to propagate some of the rare and endangered species that reside with them at the Center.

Skunks are a very misunderstood group of animals so be sure to come out to this month’s meeting and meet the not-so-smelly ambassador skunk in person!
