Sunset at the Rookery (Eustis)

It has been estimated that approximately 5,000 birds are using the Trout Lake Nature Center Rookery this year. It is an awesome sight to watch the birds line up to fly into the Rookery as the sun sets in the west. Birding experts Bob and Mary Wexler will be on hand to help you learn about the birds that share the rookery and Trout Lake.

Join us to enjoy a peaceful sunset on the water watching the birds come “home” to roost. The sun will set around 6:26 on this date and trail will be lighted for the return trip to the parking lot. Snacks or hors d’oeuvres, wine and tea will be served on the dock and at education building.

When: Saturday Mar. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Where: Trout Lake Nature Center, 520 E. CR 44, Eustis

Cost: $20 per adult (Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred.)

What to bring with you: Dress for the Florida outdoors in the evening. We suggest you bring your binoculars although loaners are available for your use.
