The Panhandle, West and South guidebooks (with maps) for the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail (and their addenda) are available in PDF format for free downloading and printing. The 2012 East Guide is currently unavailable in PDF format for free downloading and printing due to its large file size. For the most current information, please also print the addenda along with the guides, as these contain updates added since the last printing. Please note that the new Panhandle Section guide is downloadable as a PDF from scribd.com. Paper copies of the West, South and 2002 East Section guidebooks may be ordered at no charge by clicking "Order Publications" on the left hand menu, which directs you to the FWC Publications Order System. Select "Birdwatching" from the drop-down menu, then select your item(s) and click on the "Submit Selection(s)" box.
Two updated, full-color guidebooks are offered--the 60-page Panhandle guidebook (2011) and the 140-page East guidebook (2012)--are available from the Wildlife Foundation of Florida (WFF) gift store for $5 each. The 2012 East guidebook is available as an electronic file (PDF) on a CD until the book is printed (check back soon for an announcement regarding the printing date). All four guidebooks and Bird Watching Basics are available as PDFs on a 2 GB flash drive from the WFF gift store (see link above). This is a great way to get all the maps and text descriptions for the GFBWT.
