Join us as we look for migratory, wading, and upland birds at two local gardens. Mead Botanical Gardens is situated on 47 acres and has hiking trails through a longleaf pine canopy and along a creek in forested wetlands. Kraft Azalea Garden is situated on 5.2 acres along the shores of Lake Maitland and is known for its Great Egret Rookery. Meet at 8:30 at Mead Botanical Gardens, 1300 S. Denning Drive, Winter Park. Restrooms are available at this location. We will be walking over uneven ground and some areas may be damp or wet. Next, we will drive to Kraft Azalea Garden. This site is wheelchair accessible but does not have restrooms. Please bring a drink, snack, and binoculars. All levels and ages of birders are welcome to attend. For more information or questions, please contact Sarah Donlan at sarahdonlan42@gmail.com.
For the safety of participants, we will be following CDC Guidelines and local COVID-19 orders regarding social distancing and the wearing of masks.
