Birding the Welaka National Fish Hatchery (Welaka)

Join us as we explore and bird the Welaka National Fish Hatchery. Sue Killeen will lead the bird walk, and we’ll also see the newly built Grasshopper Sparrow aviary, and the fish tanks and ponds at the Hatchery, and perhaps the Indigo Snakes that the Fishery tends to before their release.

Meet us in the parking lot of the Aquarium, from where we will carpool to various locations within the Fishery.

We suggest that you bring insect repellant, sunscreen and water.

Jorge Buening will join us for this delightful event and will take us to a local restaurant for those who join us for lunch.
