I’ve Got An APP…for that Bird (Classroom instruction & hands-on practice) (Satellite Coast)

Itinerary
0800 – 0815 Registration, bagels, birder chat, connect devices to WiFi
0815 – 0915 Classroom delivery of APP class and birding resources
0915 – 0930 Travel to Gleason park and gather at the gazebo
0930 – 1130 Hands-on skills application while birding around the park

Field Trip / Hands-On Skills Practice:

What to Bring: Binoculars, smart device w/APP’s installed or a laptop, water bottle
What’s Provided: Bagels, coffee & tea, instruction
What’s Requested: We kindly request a voluntary tip contribution for the class leaders who are professional birders donating their time
Please join us for a day of learning and hands-on skills practice. We’ll start the day with classroom session that will include an overview of multiple birding APP’s and online resources. Following the instruction delivery we’ll travel to Gleason Park to practice our skills and experience hands-on application in the field. Instruction will be provided by Birding with David Simpson (Dee & David).
How to Prepare: To get the most out of the class, it’s preferable you have the Audubon Bird Guide and Merlin Bird ID APP’s downloaded onto your device prior to the class. If you don’t prefer to use the APP’s you’re welcome to enjoy the education and join in the field trip. If you need help to install your APP’s please arrive a few minutes early and ensure you know your Apple (iTunes) or Google Play ID and password.
