Tips and tricks for submitting checklists from eBird Mobile? Join us to learn more about eBird, one of the world’s largest biodiversity-related science projects — available at your fingertips!
Marie Chappell is a recent graduate from Cornell University, where she studied Environment & Sustainability with a focus on Environmental Biology & Applied Ecology. She has been a birder since she was 13, and over the years she has been privileged to partake in opportunities like surveying the breeding bird populations of a naval submarine base, assisting in a captive breeding program of the endangered Florida Grasshopper Sparrow, recording bird sounds in both Australia and China for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and researching the vocal differences of eastern and western Yellow-breasted Chats. She currently works with the Merlin team at the Macaulay Library, where she trains Merlin Sound ID and serves as a public interface to help with any Merlin-related questions; and she volunteers as a regional eBird data reviewer for Duval and Nassau Counties. In her free time, she enjoys playing the harp, traveling with friends, and watching anime!
