Orange Audubon Society’s (OAS) bird surveys at Rock Springs Run State Reserve welcomes birders of all levels.. All you need to be willing to do is hike a few miles and listen for bird sounds and watch for movement. The Wekiwa Basin has an impressive diversity of habitats that makes for a diversity of birds.
Red-headed Woodpeckers, Brown-headed Nuthatches, Bachman’s Sparrows and Bobwhites are commonly seen or heard at this location.
Portions of this survey will be hiking and other portions will be by vehicle.
Covid precautions: Advance registration required. Limited numbers of participants. We will practice social distancing. Please bring a mask to use when social distancing is not possible.
