Butterfly Expert and Author to Lead Nature BioBlitz Series at
The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail
Make plans now to attend Dr. Marc Minno’s monthly BioBlitz nature walks and butterfly surveys on the following Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Nov 14
Dec 12
Join us as we enjoy a guided tour of B.B.Brown’s Gardens at the Florida Scrub-Jay Trail in search of butterflies and other hidden gems.
The 2-hour sessions are designed to increase our awareness of the natural world around us. By sharpening our powers of observation and interpretation, we will see nature in a new light by observing the things that are “hidden in plain sight.”
Butterfly surveys will allow us to track monarchs and other butterflies. We’ll learn what plants we should put in our gardens to attract butterflies and birds. Gopher Tortoises, wild edible plants, insects, both friend and foe, and native plants will all be carefully studied in the natural habitat of The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail in Clermont, FL.
Location: 11490 Montevista Road, Clermont, FL
