Bird Walk for Beginners: Fort Caroline/Theodore Roosevelt
Sunday, December 2nd, 2018, 10:00AM-12:00PM
Duval Audubon is again leading monthly walks for novice birders at the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. Of course, experienced birders are welcome too!
We should see cardinals, titmice, chickadees and maybe even a woodpecker or two. The walking is easy, a wide trail through maritime hammock to an observation deck overlooking Round Pond marsh and tidal creeks in the area. This is a great field trip for beginning birders as well as long timers.
Parking is VERY limited at this location. To reduce parking issues, we will meet at the Fort Caroline Visitor’s Center and carpool to Theodore Roosevelt Area.
Directions:
Visitors Center at Fort Caroline; 12713 Fort Caroline Road, Jacksonville, FL. No fee.
