Orange Audubon Society’s (OAS) field trip to Wekiwa Springs State Park welcomes new birders.
We will be hiking a few miles and listening for bird sounds and watching for movement.
Wekiwa is the crown jewel of the state park system with an impressive diversity of habitats that makes for a wide variety of birds. In the well-burned sandhill habitat in particular it has been easy to find Bachman’s Sparrows, Brown-headed Nuthatches, and Red-headed Woodpeckers.
You are responsible for the regular park entry fee of $6 for more than one person, $4 for a single person. Can be paid in advance online.
COVID-19 precautions will be followed. Masks required.
