The Trail is a program of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, supported in part by the Florida Department of Transportation and the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida, and is possible thanks to dozens of federal, state, and local government agencies, non-governmental organizations and private landowners.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
Managing fish and wildlife resources for their long-term well-being and the benefit of people.
The FWC works to balance the needs of these fish and wildlife species and the habitats that support them with the needs of Florida’s nearly 23 million residents and the millions of people who visit the state each year.
Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida
The Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that seeks to protect our outstanding animals and plants and the lands and waters they need to survive.
They work closely with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and many other public and private partners.
Since their founding in 1994, they have raised and donated nearly $100 million for conservation and outdoor recreation, including youth outdoor education.
