Delray Oaks Natural Area
Follow the paved ADA trail through the palm-oak hammock to a strand swamp and observation platform at the end, watching along the way for resident species, as well as migratory songbirds in spring and fall. Twenty species of wood-warbler have been recorded at the site including Black-throated Green, Cape May, and Prairie. Both Indigo and Painted Bunting are possible, the latter from fall through spring. While walking the trails keep an eye on the sky for soaring Swallow-tailed Kites and Broad-winged Hawks.
